The area surrounding Lazy Bear Campground is nature’s playground. For the fast-paced adventurer to the laid-back lazy bear, there’s something for everyone within a short drive from the campground.
Burnett County is home to 50 miles of summer ATV trails and 80 miles of frozen-ground trails for fast-paced snowmobiling. Neighboring counties have miles and miles of connecting trails for non-stop, fast-paced fun.
For more relaxing recreation, two national scenic rivers (the St. Croix River and Namekagon River) flow through Burnett County and offer plenty of memories while kayaking, canoeing or tubing. You don’t even need to bring your own equipment. There are many river outfitters along the way to help you get started.
In an area with over 500 lakes, there’s no shortage of finding that special fishing spot for long, summer days or star-filled winter nights. Burnett County has an abundance of bass, musky, northern pike, bluegill, walleye and other panfish - the open water is calling your name!
Don’t leave your golf clubs at home! Tee off at nearby Voyager Village - an 18-hole championship golf course that is accessible for golfers at all levels. With a bar and grill steps away, a cold beer and a good meal is all you need to complete your day on the course.
